Essential Health Clinic hires new executive director
Essential Health Clinic has a new leader in the new year to continue essential work in reproductive healthcare.
Derek Kruempel, MPA, MHA, is the new executive director for the seven Essential Health Clinic locations and brings decades of experience in healthcare administration in Iowa, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
Derek holds a Master of Health Administration from The University of Iowa, a Master of Public Administration from Drake University (Des Moines, Iowa) and a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University.
"Building community partnerships and fostering relationships with outside organizations is important to me as I know it is these that help define the image of the organization and ultimately impact its success," Derek says. "I look forward to helping Essential Health Clinic continue its mission of creating healthier lives and families by providing and advocating for reproductive health and education."
Essential Health Clinic provides reproductive care for women and men, pregnancy testing and counseling, birth control, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment and more.
First established in 1972, Essential Health Clinic cares for more than 7,000 clients per year and has locations in La Crosse, Whitehall, Black River Falls, Sparta, Viroqua, Richland Center and Prairie du Chien.
